Shopping Center Honored with Garden Club Award!

Southbury Plaza Honored with Southbury Garden Club Award!

For a third year Southbury Plaza was the recipient of an award from the Southbury Gardent Club  for “Continued Excellence in the category of Office Parks and Plazas.” in recognition of their "exceptional plantings and landscaping."  Officers and committee chairs choose award recipients from properties nominated by their members. They remarked that the plaza’s landscaping stands out to club members for the “welcome it makes to the town, the variety of plant material used and the excellence of maintenance to the planting areas”.

Expressing appreciation for the recognition, shopping center owner Mary Ann Gatto commented that while she enjoys creating the designs herself for the numerous planting areas throughout the center, the credit for planting and maintaining them goes to her small, but dedicated plaza maintenance staff.
